A public holiday, national holiday or legal holiday is a holiday generally established by law and is usually a non-working day during the year. This page contains public holidays sorted by years.   • Vietnam or officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia
  • Public Holidays in Vietnam defines as the employee is off work and receive full pay during the holiday
  • Under Article 115 of the Labor Code issued in 2012, employees are entitled to 10 paid holidays each year
  • Tet holidays is the biggest holidays celebration in Vietnam
  • If a Public Holiday falls on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday), the following Monday is observed as a paid holiday
  • Usually employee will sign and agree on employment contract or trade union agreement before start work.
  • This contract will state all benefits and entitlement as an employee in that organization
  • Employees who are foreign citizens working in Vietnam receive an additional day off for their own country’s National Day
