A public holiday, national holiday or legal holiday is a holiday generally established by law and is usually a non-working day during the year. This page contains public holidays sorted by years.   • Pakistan is the world’s first Islamic republic country located in South Asia, most of celebration are according to Islamic or Gregorian calendars for religious and civil purposes.
  • Public Holidays and Bank Holidays are different in Pakistan.
  • Banks closed on Public Holidays, Banks closed on Banks holidays as well, but Bank employees need to work on banks holidays, they just do not need to serve public.
  • The government of Pakistan will announce Public Holidays at the end of current year for next year’s Public Holiday. It is normal practice for government to announce additional holiday for prolong festive celebration.
  • Weekend is mainly refer to Sunday only.
  • Public holidays falls on Sunday will remain on this date, it is not move or replace with following Monday.
