A public holiday, national holiday or legal holiday is a holiday generally established by law and is usually a non-working day during the year. This page contains public holidays sorted by years.   • El Salvador or officially the Republic of El Salvador is the smallest and the most densely populated country in Central America
  • Labour Laws of El Salvador stated that employees who work more than 60 days observed the right to receive paid day off for all national holidays.
  • If employee require to work on a Public Holiday, s/he entitled a compensation of double their normal wages
  • Government of El Salvador reserves the right to move holidays that falls on a Sunday to the following Monday
  • For religious holidays that calculate based on lunar cycle, they will have different date each year. All employer need to acknowledge these holiday regardless of the date they occur
  • Day of the Republic is celebrated throughout the country but this date not a national day off holiday
